Symmetry

Flowers show show either radial symmetry or bilateral symmetry . Flowers showing radial symmetry are called symmetrical. Flowers showing bilateral symmetry are called asymmetrical.
Radial symmetry is where the flower can be rotated through several different angles and still appear essentially the same	Bilateral symmetry is where the flower looks the same in mirror image, but would look different if rotated	In some asymmetrical flowers the corolla may be nearly symmetrical, but other parts of the flower asymmetrical
