| Trifolium
scabrum (rough clover) is an uncommon, hairy, low
growing herbaceous weed with trifoliate leaves. The leaves
are on short petioles and have appressed hairs on both
surfaces. The leaflets are widest above the middle, 5-15 mm
long by 3-6 mm wide, are finely toothed near the apex. The
stipules are membranous, hairy and have green or purple
veins. The flowers are white and in sessile heads about
7-20mm long and wide.
