Trifolium
campestre (hop clover) is a low growing herbaceous
weed with trifoliate leaves. The foliage is almost hairless
and the leaflets are more or less diamond shaped and about
8-16mm long. The flowers are yellow, and in dense, many
flowered heads about 8-15 mm long and 7-10 mm wide. One
distinctive feature is that, like T.
dubium, the terminal leaflet is on a distinct
stalk.
