Bossiaea
cordifolia is an uncommon erect shrub to ~ 3 m in
open forest and woodland in northwest Tasmania. The leaves
are triangular-ovate and alternate, or irregularly opposite
or whorled, and are more or less sessile. Apex pungent.
Stipules are obvious bristles up to 3mm long, often
deflexed, and arranged in closely adjacent pairs. Similar to
B. cinerea, but distinguished by deflexed stipules
and stipules not on opposite sides of the petiole. The
leaves are also more pungent than B. cinerea, and
the petiole lacks a spur.
