Acacia
uncifolia (wirilda) is a rare species in
Tasmania. found only on Flinders Island. (Occurrences
on mainland Tasmania are assumed to have originated from
ornamental plantings.)
It has long, narrow phyllodes that have only one vein. The
flowers are in solitary, spherical heads. A distinctive
feature of this species is that the tip of the leaf has a
small hook.
