Lathyrus
is a similar genus to Vicia, except that the stems
are usually strongly angled and the leaves are reduced
(sometimes to phyllodes).
Three species of Lathyrus have become naturalised in
Tasmania. L. nissolia (Grass Vetchling) has leaves
reduced to long phyllodes. L. tingitanus (Tangier
Pea) and L. latifolius have leaves with two
leaflets. L tingltanus has a terminal tendril. |
