Phyllanthus australis (Phyllanthaceae) 3:638 Phyllanthus australis is an uncommon plant. It is an inconspicuous wiry dioecious undershrub with small, sparse leaves and tiny flowers.  It grows in reasonably wet microsites in eastern Tasmania, especially near rivers.
