Euphorbia
lathyris (caper spurge) is a
common weed around urban areas, sometimes spreading into
the bush. It is a large, erect herb with opposite
leaves up to about 15cm long, and large fruit. The leaves
associated with the flowers and fruit are triangular, but
the vegetative leaves are long and narrow, usually with a
pale midrib.
