| This is
a reasonably common species in dry sclerophyll vegetation.
It is a low growing, spreading shrub and is sometimes
confused with the more common Styphelia
humifusa, however it has broader leaves (perhaps
3-4 times longer than wide, rather than more than 5 times).
When in flower, the green flowers with long tubes, recurved
lobes and exserted anthers make it quite distinctive. The
leaves have distinct lines of hairs along the margins. |
