| Epacris
lanuginosa (swamp heath), is a very common
shrub in boggy places in Tasmania. The leaves are narrow,
taper to a point and are mostly pressed against the stem
giving the plant its distinctive spindly appearance. The
flowers are clustered in dense head-like inflorescences at
the ends of erect branches.
E. corymbiflora grows in similar habitats and
has similar inflorescences, but has relatively broad leaves.
