| When Cyathodes
was split into several genera, a couple of species
were left as uncertain. However, recent work has shown that
these two species, C. dealbata from Tasmania, and C.
pumila from New Zealand, should be given a genus of
their own. The result is the single species, Montitega
dealbata. This is a very common, mat forming plant of
alpine areas. Its habit and leaf size make it resemble Pentachondra pumila, but this
species has whitish undersides to the leaves. |
