Eucryphia
lucida(leatherwood) is one of the main
temperate rainforest trees in western and southern Tasmania.
The entire, oblong, opposite leaves are distinctive. The
expanding buds are embedded in a yellow resinous substance.
The leaves and flowers are larger than its relative, E. milliganii.
