| Pinus
is a northern hemisphere genus of conifers. Three species have become naturalised in Tasmania: Pinus radiata is fairly widespread while Pinus pinaster and P. wallichiana are less widely distributed. Important for the identification of these species are the number of leaves (needles) in each cluster (fascicle)
