Chenopodium erosum (Amaranthaceae) not in the
Student's Flora

Chenopodium
erosum (papery goosefoot) is considered to be
extinct in Tasmania. the only record being from "an island
in the Kent Group in Bass Strait" by Robert Brown in 1804.
However it is found in the Victorian alps and in NSW.
It is usually an erect annual plant to 1.5 m high with
triangular to ovate leaves 0.5-6 cm wide and 4-15 cm
long, with papery, raggedly toothed margins.
Flowers are in axillary and terminal racemes.
