| Calandrinia
ciliata is a moderately common weed in Tasmania. The
conspicuous purple flowers make it quite distinctive. The
leaves are usually petiolate (sometimes with petioles up to
2.5cm long), up to five cm long with the lamina almost as
wide as long. It is quite distinctive from the native
species of this genus, which have sessile, elongate,
obviously succulent leaves and small flowers that range in
colour from white to pink to purple. |
