Threlkeldia (Amaranthaceae) 3:576

One species of Threlkeldia (T. diffusa) is native to Tasmania. It is a small coastal shrub of north-eastern Tasmania and the Bass Strait Islands. Vegetatively it resembles Suaeda australis with its narrow, fleshy leaves. However it has shorter leaves  than Suaeda and grows on limestone or limey soils (not in saltmarshes), whereas Suaeda is a saltmarsh plant.
