| Hemichroa
pentandra is the only species of this genus in
Tasmania where it is a reasonably common native saltmarsh
plant. Its distinctive features include the solitary
5-parted flowers in the leaf axils and the fleshy, alternate
leaves with concave upper surfaces. The Student's Flora of
Tasmania places it in the Chenopodiaceae. |
