1. Cassytha pubescens

2. C. pubescens flower

LAURACEAE 3:596

Most members of this family are tropical to temperate trees. However the Tasmanian species all belong to a specialised group within the family (Cassytha species). These are common leafless climbing parasites that form tangled masses over trees and shrubs in dry forests and heaths. The flowers are small and inconspicuous. The fruit are small drupes.
