Craspedia gracilis (mountain billybuttons)
is an uncommon, native alpine/subalpine rosette herb found
in grassy places in the eastern and central mountains.
It is one of the larger of the alpine rosette species and
has narrow, entire, silvery white leaves 5-20 cm long. The
compound heads are yellow and about 1-2.5 cm wide.
