Coronidium scorpioides is an erect perennial herb
to about 55 cm tall. It is common and widespread in open
woodlands, heaths and especially grasslands, mostly in
lowland areas.
The stems are usually simple or few-branched and
cottony-hairy with a solitary terminal flower head up to
35 mm in diameter. Leaves in a basal rosette are up to 90
mm long while stem leaves are smaller.
