Spreading
to erect shrub up to 3 m high; branchlets with mixed dense
cottony and bristly hairs, slightly sticky. Recurved leaves
densely cottony (except midrib). Capitula (flower heads) in
groups of 20–300 white, conical, each about 2 mm wide.
