Siloxerus (formerly known as Rutidopsis;

| Siloxerus
multiflorus (formerly known as Rutidopsis
multiflora) is a rare native herb found on the north
coast in dry forests, in the Midlands and near the east
coast. It is a very small, slender herb with opposite basal
leaves. The flower heads are tiny, surrounded by papery
bracts and clustered into compact heads. It can be confused
with Hyalosperma demissum,
but that species has solitary flower heads.
Angianthus preissianus is another very small
herb with a somewhat similar inflorescence to Siloxerus,
but is a saltmarsh plant. |
