Coronidium (Helichrysum in part; Asteraceae) 2:325

 
Tasmania has three native species of Coronidium. C. scorpioides (an erect or spreading herb of open forests),  C. monticola (in alpine and sub-alpine  areas) and C. gunnianum which is found at altitudes of less than 100 m in grasslands and woodlands in areas subject to inundation.

All three species have golden flower heads on erect stalks.

C. scorpioides was formerly in the genus Helichrysum as described in the Student's Flora, along with Ozothamnus, Argentipallium, Xerochrysum, Chrysocephalum.

C. monticola is not in the Student's Flora.
