Lordhowea velleioides (fomerly Senecio velleioides)
is a reasonably uncommon native species of wet forest areas
after fire. It is a robust herb with rather glaucous foliage
and long, but quite wide leaves that are entire or nearly
so, and have wide bases that sheathe the stem.
