Leptinella
reptans is a reasonably common native herb of
wet forests, river banks and wet depressions. It is
prostrate and has small (about 2-6 cm long, and about 1-2 cm
wide) very finely divided leaves - three times divided and
like small, soft fern leaves. The leaves tend to be
clustered, sometimes giving the impression of being in
rosettes, although these clusters are clearly joined by
stems.
The flowers are pale, in small button-like heads only about
5mm wide. The heads are on slender stalks about 2-6cm long. |
