Tasmania
has five native species of Vittadinia (new-holland-daisies). These are all
smallish herbs, mostly of dry forests, woodlands and
grasslands. At the fruiting stage the pappus becomes very
prominent. The fruit (below the pappus) is distinctly
flattened.
