| Tasmania
has three native species of Apium (sea-celery).
These are herbs that grow predominantly near the sea with
the exception of one species, (Apium annuum)or annual
sea-celery which is present in saline marshes in the
midlands. Slender or creeping sea-celery, also known as sea
parsley (Apium prostratum) is the most common and
widespread. This slightly succulent herb with deeply lobed
leaves is common on coastlines. |
